(August 2014) The U.S. gives Israel $3 billion in military assistance annually, and officially supports Israel¹s occupation of Gaza (Google: AFSC Gaza siege). This support implicates us in charges of bullying, lawlessness, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing. Furthermore, as Israeli settlements shrink the areas controlled by Palestinians, a future 2-state solution becomes difficult or impossible. The U.S. would be a better friend to Israel by insisting on a positive future for the region.
