invites you to

The UPSTATE NY PREMIER of the film
Resistencia: The Fight for the Aguan Valley

On June 28th 2009, a coup d’état overthrew the elected president of Honduras. The country is now a major hotspot in Latin America—plagued by violence, murders, corruption, human rights abuses, and police impunity.  But a nationwide resistance movement was also born, which took inspiration from the daring act of the farmers of the Aguan Valley to take over 10,000 acres of palm oil plantations claimed by the country’s largest landowner. Come and be inspired by the people fighting for a democratic state!
