Local Organizations Unite to Launch The “Rochester March for Global Climate Action”
 
During the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Paris, Rochesterians will join forces to urge global action against
growing climate problems.

Sunday, November 29, 2015

A coalition of concerned nonprofit organizations, churches, and businesses will march through downtown, to coincide with rallies, marches, and other actions world-wide. The march is geared to urge leaders at the 21st United Nations Conference on Climate Change to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, from all the nations of the world.

The Episcopal Church of St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene <http://www.twosaints.org/> ,
17 Fitzhugh St S, Rochester, NY 14614 at 1:00 p.m.

Organizers will lead the march to several locations in downtown Rochester relevant to climate change. More fellowship and music by the Dady Brothers will follow.

More: Rochester People’s Climate Coalition (RPCC) is a consortium of 53 local organizations actively mobilizing around climate change. Around the earth, almost 1,800 local actions are already scheduled, 154 of those in the U.S.

The RPCC is also hosting “12 Days of Climate,” a series of local events and actions, to coincide with the 12 days of the Paris Conference.
