Peace Action Geneseo Presents: Benefit Dinner for the European Refugee Crisis.
Wednesday, December 9 at 5:00 PM
Interfaith Center at 11 Franklin St, Geneseo.
The purpose of this dinner is to help provide DIRECT aid to victims of the crisis through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)!
Guest speaker and activist Judy Bello will provide insight into the everyday struggles and experiences that refugees face, as well as how she has addressed the situation through her work on the ground.
Tickets: (All proceeds go to UNHCR to provide aid to refugees)
$5 for students/faculty
$7 for the general public

Judy Bello is active with The Upstate Coalition to Ground the Drones and End the Wars, and is on the Administrative Committee of the United National Antiwar Coalition as well as Rochester Peace Action and Education. She has visited Iran twice with Fellowship of Reconciliation Peace Delegations, and spent a month in the Kurdish city of Suleimaniya in 2009, and met with drone victims in Pakistan with the CodePink Peace Delegation in fall of 2012. In the spring of 2014 she visited Syria as an Election Observer along with 8 representatives of the US, UK and Canada, and numerous other representatives of countries in Asia, Africa and South America. She believes that justice and respect for the sovereignty of all nations is critical to building world peace. The way to build and more just and peaceful society is for people to reach across international, inter-ethnic, interracial, and intercultural boundaries to form a global grassroots network of individuals working towards peace and justice through love and understanding
