Schoolbooks to Be Destroyed Following Anti-Israel Claims

Dear Arnold

Last week it was reported that publishing giant McGraw-Hill Education has censored and is planning to destroy <http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=2RrqNlrw2%2B0rVRq0Z2eNj272OdZJQV0o> copies of a US college textbook entitled "Global Politics: Engaging a Complex World," after complaints about a series of maps <http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=kPVhHfvQeUBD8abbVZM0w272OdZJQV0o> showing loss of Palestinian land from 1946-2000.

 Send a letter to McGraw-Hill Education to let them know it is unacceptable to censor Palestinian history!

 or

<http://org.salsalabs.com/o/641/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=19389>

Both of these links work.  However, they will bring up my name.  Just scroll down to “Not Arnold Matlin” and proceed from there.
This link requires a little work, because you don’t just click a box.  What’s requested is that you write a short letter.  That will add 30 or 45 seconds, but it means that McGraw-Hill will read your own words, not the same words over and over. AHM

This disturbing decision follows another case last year when MSNBC aired a similar map <http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=SnpRNKasbdjfvFbT1bPNLm72OdZJQV0o> and then apologized and retracted it after complaints. These two examples highlight how those interested in maintaining the status quo of occupation and apartheid realize they no longer can win defending Israeli war crimes and instead are seeking to censor the truth.

Let McGraw-Hill Education executives know they should not have succumbed to pressure <http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=oTfCzVv4h%2BhfUCO%2FQUSvKG72OdZJQV0o> by those who wish to deny Palestinian history and that they should reinstate the maps and textbooks.

Thank you for taking action.
