Children and Youth:
We hope that most of the children/youth and some of the adults will be able to camp
with us in the church courtyard.
Bring your tent, sleeping bag, mat, pillow, and toothbrush. We will enjoy campfire songs and games in the evening, and cook a camp stove breakfast in the morning.

1. Using technology as a tool for social justice. Bring your I-phones/I-pads, etc. if you have one. We will be researching information on them.
2.
Where was it made? We will look up where our clothing, electronics, and other items we use every day are made. We will research questions like, what are the working conditions in the manufacturing countries? What are the environmental impacts?
3.
Utopia. Look at the world you are growing up in. Now imagine what a perfect world
would look like. Then plan what you think is actually possible for your own lifetime. How will your life and values look different than the lives of adults you know?
4.
Survive. Work together to buy and sell pigs to keep your family and community alive.
5.
World population and distribution. Use an interactive world map to learn which countries use the most resources and which areas have the most people.
6.
Social justice finances. Learn to use Charity Navigator to help your parents know how the organizations they donate to spend their money.
7.
Diversity. What is diversity? What diversity do you encounter at school and other places you go? We will use role play to explore what it means to be different.
8.
What’s on my plate? Do you know where your food comes from? Are the people who provide your food paid fairly for their work? Is our diet environmentally sustainable?
9.
Community Garden Project. Dress to get dirty or bring some old clothes. We will spend some time gardening in Greece Baptist’s own community garden!

Food: Our meals on Friday and Saturday will be catered by Coffee Connection. Both meals will be gluten free, and vegetarian friendly. (Cost is covered by registration fee)

Cost: $32 for adults, $12 for kids (through High School)

Camping: We will offer space to camp on church grounds. Campers will have access to church restrooms (note: we do not have showers). There are hotels nearby—and we can accommodate a few people with local families—let us know if you need a place to stay!

Contact: To register or for more information, contact Brandon Arva at 585-225-6160 or greecebaptist@yahoo.com
