Dear GVCP member,
Here’s an important email message from Clara Gallagher of our sister group, Geneseo Peace Action. The Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar are among the most persecuted groups in the world. It’s wonderful that the Geneseo student group wants to help them.

We wanted to invite you to our event that is happening this month, we will be hosting a benefit dinner for the Rohingya Muslims that are being subjected to extreme violence and forced to flee their homes. With this dinner, we are not only trying to raise money to donate to Global Giving Relief Fund, but also to educate students on this issue that does not receive much time on news outlets.
The dinner will be on November 18th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be $3 and all proceeds will go to the Global Giving Rohingya Refugee Relief Fund. We will be showing the documentary, “The Rohingya: Silent Abuse” during the dinner.
We would love it if you and the rest of GVCP would like to attend. And please email me or Uma if you have any questions.
