It’s after 2:00 PM on Friday, December 22nd, so no protest rally today.
It’s possible that Trump will still act to fire Mueller, because now he’s in the safety of his own bunker, and he will be protected from any confrontations anywhere near where he is. I’m still watching CNN to see if the firing happens today. If he does fire Mueller later today, the protest rally will be tomorrow—Saturday, 12/23 at 12:00 Noon. Stand by.
One positive spin I’ve heard is that the outcry after the firing—even during a three-day weekend—would be so enormous that Trump didn’t want to face it. If you go to the website:

you’ll see that the protest rallies are covering the map of the United States. California has about 70 events planned. NY has over 30 events planned. Maybe Trump decided it just wasn’t worth the hassle.
The take home point—save the signs. We will probably need them sooner or later. Maybe tomorrow (Saturday), but not today.
