Dear GVCP member,
The Peace Poetry Prize ceremony is something new to me, but it has a long and excellent history. This year will be special, because GVCP has initiated the Claire Allen Peace Poetry Prize. We want to honor the life of Claire Allen, who was killed in a tragic accident in the Fall of 2017. Claire’s parents are GVCP members, and Claire lived a life dedicated to peace. (She had won a prize at an earlier event for her Peace Poetry.)
All GVCP members are invited to the Peace Poetry Prize Ceremony on Sunday, May 6th, at 2:00 PM in Wadsworth Auditorium on the SUNY Geneseo Campus. (More details below.)
After the Poetry Prize Ceremony, we will be wishing good luck to two Geneseo Peace Action members who are graduating. More about this in a separate email message.

I am writing to invite you (and your fellow GVCP members) to attend the Peace Poetry prize ceremony and reading on Sunday, May 6, at 2:00 pm in the Wadsworth Auditorium on SUNY Geneseo’s campus. A small reception will follow, usually around 3.15pm. An RSVP to peacepoetry@geneseo.edu is helpful but not required.
