[GVCP] Hiroshima/Nagasaki Vigil on Tuesday, August 6th

July 29, 2019

Hiroshima Day Candlelight Vigil —Tuesday August 6th!

On August 6th, 1945, the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.  That began a nuclear arms race that continues to this day, at a cost of $trillions.

People who understand the true threat that path represents, say NO MORE!

Come stand with Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace for our Annual Hiroshima Day Vigil! (This is our 45th consecutive vigil!)

·      Tuesday August 6th

·        7:30 PM

·        Avon traffic circle,  Routes 5&20,  Avon NY

We will carry signs, light candles, sing peace songs, and witness for the peaceful world we know is possible.  It’s encouraging and uplifting!

Rochester activists from Veterans for Peace will join us!  So will The Raging Grannies!

All are welcome!  Bring a sign!  Bring a lawn chair!  Bring a friend!

Rain or shine (but we draw the line at lightning!).

Do come!
