The national media—including some of the “progressive” media—have decided to work against the democratically-elected government of Nicaragua. In the same way, some “progressives” within the solidarity movement have joined with Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and the U.S. State Department to punish Nicaragua for refusing to become a U.S. client state.
The Alliance for Global Justice, Rochester Committee on Latin America, and GVCP have pushed back against these attempts to overthrow the Nicaraguan government. GVCP has already signed an organizational letter to oppose interference in Nicaragua’s sovereignty.
