Our annual Hiroshima/Nagasaki vigil will take place on Saturday, August 6th, 7:30 PM, at the Avon traffic circle, Routes 5&20.
The event will take place rain or shine. (Except, not if there’s a thunderstorm.)
At 6:15 PM, everyone is invited to an informal meal at Tom Wahl’s Restaurant, 283 East Main St, Avon. (East Main St. is the same as Routes 5&20, just east of the Avon traffic circle.)
At the vigil we will be selling the fabulous shirts pictured below. They are not only attractive, but they are union made. We will distribute them to to people at the vigil, first come, first served. The shirts cost GVCP $13 each. We will accept a free-will offering for the shirts—less than $13 if necessary, more if possible.
Please come to the vigil. Stop at Tom Wahl’s for a relaxed meal before the vigil if you can.
