The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, (TPNW) was adopted by the United Nations in July of 2017. The Treaty makes it illegal to develop, test, produce, manufacture, acquire, possess, stockpile, transfer, receive, use or even threaten to use nuclear weapons or explosive nuclear devices. 122 countries voted to adopt the Treaty in July 2017. The United States led a boycott of the negotiations and refused to sign, along with 8 other countries with nuclear weapons. Today, almost 50% of the world’s nations have voted to approve the Treaty by signing and/or ratifying the TPNW as the law of their land. Join us!
