Hiroshima and Nagasaki Vigil 77th Commemoration of the Atomic Bombing

Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace, along with our allies, Rochester Chapter 23 Veterans For Peace, will hold our 50th annual candlelight vigil to commemorate the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that took place August 6th and 9th, 1945. 79 years after these horrific events, the nations of the world have still not managed to eliminate these terrible weapons. Monday, August 5th, 7:30 pm at the Avon traffic circle, Routes 5&20 in Avon NY. Opening remarks, followed by a period of silence, live music, ending with the lighting of candles and group singing. Join us!
