GVCP, Geneseo Peace Action, and the Geneseo Interfaith Center (and probably Veterans For Peace) are planning an action around International Peace Day, which is September 21st.
Tell VP Harris: Not Another Bomb!
With VP Kamala Harris as the official Democratic nominee, we have an opportunity to drive major change in U.S. policy toward Israel’s war in Gaza. Polls show that the majority of likely voters want the U.S. to work to secure a ceasefire, and more recently-released polls show that Democratic and Independent voters in three key swing states —Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania — “would be more willing to vote for Harris in November if she supported cutting off weapons to Israeli forces.” VP Harris has a strong incentive to listen to potential Democratic voters and shift course from President Biden’s disastrous handling of the Gaza war.
