What Personal Data We Collect and Why
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string (hash) generated from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy. After comment approval, your profile picture may be visible to the public.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may be able to download and extract location data from such images.
Contact Forms
If you submit information via a contact form, we collect the data you provide (such as name, email address, and message). We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use this data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Cookies
- If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
- If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie checks if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
- Login cookies last two days; screen option cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” will keep you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.
- If you edit or publish content, a cookie will be stored in your browser, indicating the post ID (not personal data). It expires after one day.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you visited those sites directly. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction, especially if you are logged in to their services.

Visitor comments may be screened using an automated spam detection service such as Akismet or similar providers.
