[GVCP] Can We Talk About Gun Violence?

April 7, 2018

Dear GVCP Members,

This request stems from connections Margaret Anne and I made at the March for Our Lives demonstration in Batavia.  Batavia isn’t close for most of us, but the activists there need our support, just as we need their support.

Peace,

Arnie Matlin for GVCP

Hi – I was wondering if you would be interested in helping us promote this event.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE?
Horrified by mass shootings caused by gun violence? Do you find yourself wondering what to do and who is right or wrong about this issue? Do you wonder if there is any way that people could come together to find common sense solutions beyond the political divisions of right and left? If you want to explore such questions, we invite you to join us for a gathering to discuss the effects of violence on us and our communities.

The event will be held at Genesee Community College, Batavia Room – T102, on Thursday, April 19, at 6:30 pm.

We will have someone from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and New Yorkers Against Gun Violence to speak about their experiences with violence. Dr. Barry Gan from St. Bonaventure will be moderating.
